Receipty — Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 30, 2026 · Applies to the Android app
“Receipty” (package com.receiptextractor)
Receipty processes your receipts entirely on your device. The app is free, supported by advertising; the ad component is the only part of the app that communicates with the internet.
1 · Receipt data
- Photos taken inside the app are processed on-device for text recognition and deleted immediately after.
- Extracted results are stored only in the app's private on-device storage, accessible solely to the app.
- They are never uploaded, transmitted, or backed up anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes everything permanently.
- The AI extraction model ships inside the app and runs on your processor. There is no version of Receipty that uploads your data.
2 · Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows banner ads via the Google AdMob SDK (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). To serve ads, Google may collect and process the advertising identifier (GAID), approximate location derived from device signals, and device characteristics/use data, per Google's Privacy Policy.
- Users in the EEA/UK/CH are shown a consent form (Google UMP) before personalized ads are served, and may change their choice at any time via the in-app “Privacy options” entry point.
- US state (CCPA/CPRA-style) users may opt out of the “sale or sharing” of their data via the same privacy-options entry point in the app.
- You may also reset your advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads, or opt out of ads personalization entirely.
3 · What we don't do
- We operate no server. There is no account system.
- We cannot see your receipts, extracted data, or totals — there is no technical path by which they reach us.
- No developer-operated analytics. No profiling by the developer.
4 · GDPR specifics (EEA/UK visitors)
The developer acts as controller only for the on-device functionality described above, which processes data locally and therefore transfers nothing. Ad personalization is handled by Google as an independent controller under its own policy; consent for it is gathered in-app via the Google UMP consent form, under the legal bases of consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for personalized advertising and legitimate interest for non-personalized fallback ads. As no personal data leaves your device via Receipty itself, there is nothing for the developer to disclose, export, erase, or port — deletion of the app constitutes complete erasure (Art. 17). Questions or requests can be sent to the contact below.
5 · Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. It displays ads and does not knowingly serve personalized ads to children.
